Calendars and a cloud card

The 2027 Full Moon Calendar, the 2027 Nature Calendar and Cloud Spotter, a field card for the ten cloud types. Free for home and classroom use.

A simple nature-study week

Fifteen minutes a day is plenty. Swap days around to suit the weather.

  1. Monday: look up. Step outside, name one cloud with the Cloud identifier, and sketch it.
  2. Tuesday: weather log. Note the temperature, the wind and the sky at the same time each day. Weather now fills in the numbers.
  3. Wednesday: nature walk. Take this month’s state checklist and tick off what you find.
  4. Thursday: night sky. Find the moon and a planet or two with Tonight’s moon and Planets tonight.
  5. Friday: write it down. One page in a nature journal: the date, what you saw, a drawing, and one question.
